During his career in pain management at a Harvard-affiliated Boston hospital, Dr. Eric Leskowitz integrated subtle energy concepts into the Western medical model. In this talk, he describes how biofield science is building on the Theosophical model of energy planes to dismantle the taboos faced by Franz Mesmer (“Animal Magnetism”) and Wilhelm Reich (“orgone”). He’ll describe computer measurements in the lab and at the ballpark which prove that emotions resonate within groups, much like vibrating tuning forks. Eric (Rick) Leskowitz, MD, recently retired after serving as a consultant psychiatrist for over 25 years with the Pain Management Program at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, where he also founded the Integrative Medicine Task Force. He holds an appointment at Harvard Medical School and has studied energy healing, meditation, and hypnosis for over 40 years, presenting workshops nationally and internationally on the integration of subtle energy techniques and theories with the allopathic medical model. His latest book, The Mystery of Life Energy, was published in April 2024.
